MTA was founded back in 1989 and has its head quarter in the Iraqi capital city Baghdad. Since its infancy MTA cooperated with well reputed companies and helped transfer the knowhow and equipment to Iraq in support of its development. One of MTA’s close partners is the German MECO Co. who had an intensive experience in the Iraqi markets.

MTA is the sole agent for MR in Iraq, MR is a global company and a leader in innovation, responsible for regulating 50% of power generation worldwide, since it manufactured its first Tap Changer back in 1929, it’s been a driving force in the field of transformer developments. Being an agent to MR, MTA played a major role in supporting Iraq’s and Ministry of Electricity efforts to rehabilitate and expand the power generation, a key to Iraq’s progress and future development.
